BREAKING NEWS: 2026-2027 USDA Income Limits Have Increased!
When applying for a Florida USDA loan, it’s important to understand that Florida USDA income limits vary by both the county where the home is located and the number of people living in your household.
A key part of Florida USDA income eligibility is determining whether your annual household income falls within the applicable USDA income limit. USDA refers to this as Annual Income, and it includes the income of every member of the household—not just the individuals applying for the loan.

Because income limits differ from one Florida county to another, knowing the USDA income limit for the county where you plan to purchase a home is an essential first step in determining your eligibility. With the increased 2026–2027 Florida USDA income limits, more Florida households may now qualify for USDA financing than in previous years.
What Are the Updated USDA income Limits?
Just how much have the 2026 – 2027 USDA income limits changed? As an example, let’s take a look at Florida USDA Income Limits:
Effective July 13, 2026, the USDA Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program has updat
ed their USDA income limits to the following:
- For the majority of counties, a one to four person household has been increased from $119,850 to $122,800.
- For a 5–8-person household, this has now been increased from $158,250 all the way up to $162,100!
When comparing 2025 vs. 2026 USDA Income Limits, you can see that these are extremely healthy USDA income limit increases which have the immediate impact of helping more families qualify and a larger sales price range to choose from.
Additionally, certain counties will allow for even higher USDA income limits such as Collier and Sarasota. These may be commonly referred to as high cost counties.
