How Do You find Current USDA Eligible Areas in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and Alabama?
Last week we spoke about the recently updated USDA Property Eligibility Map. In today’s short video, I will demonstrate how to search for a USDA eligible property and further explain this fundamental part of the USDA eligibility process.

How Do You find Current USDA Eligible Areas in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and Alabama?
I realize there are certain counties that are completely eligible for the USDA program, but because of recent eligibility changes it is best to know how to search for a USDA eligible home so you don’t get caught assuming a property is eligible when it’s not!
Over the years I have actually seen properties on one side of a street be USDA eligible while those on the other side were located in an ineligible area!
When looking at properties that are close to ineligible areas, having the USDA property eligibility map at your disposal is critical for success!
How do you search for homes on the USDA Property Eligibility Map?
- Access the USDA Property Eligibility page directly in our top menu labeled “USDA Eligible Properties Search” or by clicking here.
- Click on “Single Family Housing Guaranteed” in the left hand corner and the “Property Eligibility” tab.
- Click the “Accept” button in the lower right hand corner.
- Enter the property address you are searching for and click the “Go” button to the right.
Once the search is completed, you will then be able to determine if the property is eligible for a USDA loan.
After Finding an Eligible Property
So the property is eligible for the USDA program, then let’s get you qualified!
