How the USDA Fiscal Year Affects Florida Homebuyers
The USDA Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program runs on a fiscal year from October 1st through September 30th.
At the start of each fiscal year, there’s a short pause—usually around two weeks—when new annual funds are not yet available. But that does not mean Florida USDA homebuyers are left waiting. USDA Rural Development issues Conditional Commitments “subject to the availability of commitment authority” so that USDA-approved lenders can continue to close USDA loans in Florida and beyond.
